Notice of Public Hearing 

The River Heights City Planning Commission will a public hearing on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 beginning at 7:05 p.m. to discuss and hear comments on proposed changes to the City Code regarding fences. The hearing will be held in the River Heights City Building, located at 520 S 500 E.  Written comment can be addressed to Commissioner Cindy Schaub and will be accepted up until noon on the date of the meeting.

On July 9th the River Heights City Council adopted An Ordinance Providing for the Compensation of Elected and Statutory Officers of River Heights City

Planning Commission Public Hearing

The River Heights City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on July 16, 2019 at 7:05 pm to discuss a conditional use permit request from Kristie Beardall, to have a pet grooming salon in her home, located at 646 South 600 East.  The meeting will be held in the River Heights City Building located at 520 South 500 East.  Written comment, addressed to Commissioner Cindy Schaub, will be accepted up until noon on the date of the meeting.

City Council Public Hearings – July 9, 2019

The River Heights City Council will hold two public hearings on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at their council meeting which begins at 6:30 p.m.:  1) To adopt an Ordinance Providing for the Compensation of Elected and Statutory Officers of River Heights City, and 2) To adopt a resolution to declare city owned property, located at 443 S 500 E, as surplus.  The hearings will be held in the River Heights City Building located at 520 South 500 East, River Heights.

Recent Code Changes

The City Council recently adopted changes to the City Code, on May 28, 2019, which addresses dog licensing, weeds, airbnbs, zone regulation requirements, etc. The full ordinance can be viewed here.

Budget Hearing

The River Heights City Council will hold two public hearings on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 to discuss and hear comments on amendments to the 2018-19 Budget and the proposed 2019-2020 Budget.  The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the City Office Building at 520 S 500 E.  A copy of the amendments and budget are available here.

The River Heights City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 7:05 p.m. to discuss changes to the city code, in regards to zone regulations, weeds, airbnbs, dog licensing, etc.  The hearing will be held in the River Heights City Building, located at 520 S 500 E.  Copies of the proposed ordinance can be viewed here or at the City Office, between the hours of 9:30 am and 2:30 pm, Monday -Thursday.  Written comment can be addressed to Commissioner Cindy Schaub and will be accepted up until noon on the date of the meeting.

Municipal Election Year!!

River Heights City will hold a municipal election on November 5, 2019 to elect 3 city council members to serve 4-year terms, beginning January 2020.

Interested persons must file in person, at 520 S 500 E, River Heights between June 1 and June 7 during office hours:

Monday – Thursday           9:30am – 2:30pm

Friday                                    8:00am – 5:00pm

Candidates must meet the following qualifications (UCA 20A-9-203):

  1. Be a registered voter of River Heights City;
  2. Be a resident of River Heights City for at least 365 consecutive days immediately preceding the date of the election; and
  3. Not be mentally incompetent, be a convicted felon or be convicted of treason or a crime against River Heights unless the right to hold elective office has been restored.

Notice of Planning Commission Public Hearing

The River Heights City Planning Commission will hold two public hearings on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 beginning at 7:05 p.m. to discuss and hear comments on:  1)  Proposed changes to the City Code regarding fences (a copy of which is available at https://www.riverheights.org/news/legal-notices/), and 2) Discuss a Kennel Conditional Use Permit Application submitted by Rebecca Merritt, of 416 E 500 S, to have three dogs. The hearings will be held in the River Heights City Building, located at 520 S 500 E.  Written comment can be addressed to Commissioner Cindy Schaub and will be accepted up until noon on the date of the meeting.
