Notice of Planning Commission Public Hearing

The River Heights City Planning Commission will hold two public hearings on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 beginning at 7:05 p.m. to discuss and hear comments on:  1)  Proposed changes to the City Code regarding fences (a copy of which is available at https://www.riverheights.org/news/legal-notices/), and 2) Discuss a Kennel Conditional Use Permit Application submitted by Rebecca Merritt, of 416 E 500 S, to have three dogs. The hearings will be held in the River Heights City Building, located at 520 S 500 E.  Written comment can be addressed to Commissioner Cindy Schaub and will be accepted up until noon on the date of the meeting.

Notice of Planning Commission Public Hearing – March 19, 2019

The River Heights City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 7:05 p.m. to hear comments concerning an application from Kevin and Lindsey Wilcox of 286 S 800 E, for a Kennel Conditional Use Permit, to keep three dogs.

The hearing will be held at the City Building, located at 520 S 500 E.  Written comment can be addressed to Commissioner Cindy Schaub and will be accepted up until noon on the date of the meeting.

Recently Adopted

Effective February 1, 2019, the 911 Communication monthly charge has been raised from $2 to $3.  The raise is due to Logan City raising their rate and passing it along to River Heights.

Boyd Humpherys, of 328 E Riverdale Ave, has applied to adjust the boundaries of his three parcels (02-015-0025, 02-015-0027 and 02-015-0028).  A public hearing will be held January 15, 2019 at 7:05 p.m., at which time the Planning Commission will discuss the request.  The meeting will be held in the River Heights City Building located at 520 South 500 East.  Written comment, addressed to Commissioner Cindy Schaub, will be accepted up until noon on the date of the meeting.

Appeal Hearing – December 5, 2018

The River Heights City Appeal Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 7:00 pm to entertain a repeal request from Jess M. Krannich, representing Nicholas Larson (lot owner of 490 S 970 E), Andrew Bentley (478 S 970 E), Braden Merrill (424 S 970 E), Tyson and Sara Glover (402 S 970 E) and William and Andrea Moore (989 E 400 S) for denial of zoning clearance permits for six-foot rear yard fences along 1000 East.  The hearing will be held in the River Heights City Office Building at 520 South 500 East.  Written comment will be accepted up until noon on the date of the hearing at the same address.

Code Changes Adopted

The River Heights City Council adopted an ordinance  Adopting changes to the city code of River Heights on November 13, 2018.  The additional code addresses No fault utility claims.

City Council Public Hearing – November 13, 2018

The River Heights City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 about 7:00 p.m. to discuss the adoption of a No-Fault Utility Claims Ordinance.  The hearing will be held in the River Heights City Building, located at 520 S 500 E.  Written comment can be addressed to Mayor Todd Rasmussen and will be accepted up until noon on the date of the meeting.

Planning Commission Public Hearings – November 6, 2018

The River Heights City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 7:05 pm to entertain a rezone request from Conservice Holdings, Inc, regarding properties 02-027-0046 and 02-027-0047 (approximately 350 E 800 S) to be rezoned from Agricultural to Commercial Parking Zone.  A second public hearing will follow to discuss an application from Conservice Holdings, Inc to discuss a preliminary layout and design for a commercial parking lot development on the same two parcels.  The hearings will be held in the River Heights City Building located at 520 South 500 East.  Written comment, addressed to Commissioner Cindy Schaub, will be accepted up until noon on the date of the meeting.
